How to: Restore a Cloud Server from the MySAU portal

As part of the product offering for a cloud server, a weeks worth of whole-system backups are included. These are available in the event of significant data loss or whole system corruption.

You can restore a backup anytime through the MySAU Portal for our Cloud Server range.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Restoring a backup will overwrite ALL data present on the server.

  1. Select the cloud server in question - Services → Virtual → Virtual Cloud Servers and select the desired server:

  2. Within the Virtual Cloud Server management panel, navigate to the Backups tab:

    3. Select the desired restore point, and click Restore:

    4. You will then be required to type “CONFIRM” in the box, this is to minimise the risk of accidental loss of data, then click Restore From Backup:
