1. Product Overview
Servers Australia's Transit product offers high-performance, scalable connectivity tailored for ISPs, content providers, enterprises, and data centre/colocation clients. Our network is built on a highly redundant architecture, ensuring seamless traffic flow with optimised routes that prioritise low latency and high reliability.
With Points of Presence (PoP's) located in data centres across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth, as well as our own facility on the Central Coast of NSW, we utilise our direct access to major Internet Exchange Points (IXP's) and peering relationships to enhance speed and resiliency. Whether you require dedicated bandwidth or burstable transit, we offer flexible options to meet your business needs. Our advanced DDoS protection and self-service tools empower customers with secure, real-time network control.
Servers Australia's Transit product is designed for businesses that demand fast, secure, and reliable internet connectivity, with the flexibility to scale as needed.
Network
Servers Australia offers network connectivity options designed to provide high-speed, reliable, and redundant connections for businesses of all sizes. Our network supports 1G, 10G, and 100G (100G only available in Sydney) connections, ensuring scalable solutions tailored to customer needs. To enhance resilience and performance, we maintain redundant interconnects between Points of Presence (PoP's), preventing network saturation and ensuring continuous availability. Additionally, our peering agreements with major Internet Exchange Points (IXP's), provide low-latency, high-capacity routes to key destinations, optimising connectivity for critical workloads.
DDoS Mitigation
Servers Australia provides built-in, automated DDoS monitoring and mitigation at major Points of Presence (PoPs) across the country to ensure the resilience and stability of customer services. Our protection is always active and includes both upstream filtering through global transit providers and intelligent traffic filtering at the edge of our network. This layered approach helps detect and mitigate volumetric and reflection-based attacks before they impact critical infrastructure.
Mitigation begins upstream, where malicious traffic is filtered by our providers as close to the source as possible. If attack traffic reaches our network, additional safeguards are applied at the edge to block or rate-limit harmful traffic patterns without impacting legitimate users. In rare and extreme cases, temporary null-routing of targeted IP addresses may be used to maintain overall service availability.

Technical Specifications
Core Network
Servers Australia's core network is built on high-performance routing infrastructure, utilising Arista 7280 series routers to ensure reliability and scalability. The network supports a high port density, offering 1G, 10G, and 100G ports to cater to various connectivity requirements. BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) serves as the primary routing protocol, providing robust community support for efficient traffic engineering and network optimisation. This architecture guarantees seamless connectivity, high-speed data transmission, and flexible peering options for customers.
Sustainability
At Servers Australia, we are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact by integrating energy-efficient network infrastructure and sustainable operational practices. Our core network equipment is selected for its high efficiency and optimised power consumption, reducing energy waste while maintaining industry-leading performance.
We partner with Equinix, a global leader in sustainable data centre solutions, leveraging their climate-neutral operations and renewable energy initiatives to support our network infrastructure. Equinix facilities are powered by a mix of 100% renewable energy sources where available, complemented by advanced cooling and power efficiency measures that align with our sustainability goals.
At our own facilities, we have implemented solar power solutions to reduce reliance on grid electricity and lower our carbon footprint. Additionally, our offices utilise advanced control systems to optimise environmental settings, ensuring efficient lighting, heating, and cooling management. These initiatives help us create a sustainable, energy-conscious network while delivering high-performance, reliable connectivity to our customers.
We continually explore and implement new technologies that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and environmental responsibility across our network and operations.
Management Tools
Servers Australia provides a suite of customer-facing and self-service tools designed to give users full control over their services, streamline management, and enhance operational efficiency. At the core of these tools is the MySAU portal, a comprehensive platform that allows customers to manage their services, handle billing and invoices, update account details, and access support. The portal also features traffic monitoring, giving customers visibility into their network activity and usage trends.
Customers can also submit route update requests for validation, ensuring efficient and accurate changes to their network configurations.
Service Levels
Servers Australia is committed to delivering high-performance and reliable network services backed by Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Our target of 100% network uptime ensures that customers receive the highest levels of availability, with service credits applicable in cases where uptime falls below this standard. We strive to maintain low latency diverse paths between PoP’s., ensuring low-latency connectivity for mission-critical applications. Additionally, our 24/7 support team follows a structured escalation path, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed with minimal disruption. These SLAs reflect our dedication to providing high-quality, dependable services that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
