How to restore a domain in cPanel using Acronis Backup

This guide relates to restorations within an individual cPanel account or domain using the Acronis Backup plugin.

  1. To begin, visit the cPanel ‘Tools’ page for your relevant site or domain, where you will find ‘Acronis Backup’ highlighted as per below.
    Click on “Acronis Backup”:

  2. Click on the backup you would like to restore from. In this example, we will use the latest backup at the top as highlighted in red.

  3. As we want to restore a domain from your existing backups, click on the “Domains” section:

  4. Once the domains section is loaded you can select whichever domain you would like to either “Recover” or “Download”. Once you have selected your domain click “Recover”:

  1. After you select Recover, a dialogue box will appear with additional options. This is providing you with an option to exclude any subdomain or add-on domains that may be attached to the domain you are restoring.

    In this example lets not exclude any subdomains or add-on domains and press “Start Recovery”:

  2. We can now see that the task is being completed by the Acronis Plugin as highlighted below

  3. The status bar will change when the operation is completed to “Succeeded”:
