Create VMs with Custom ISO in VDC

This guide relies on the concepts covered in Getting Started in your VDC environment.
Virtual Machines are virtualised instances of an operating system, using logically provided CPU, RAM, Disk and Memory. You can operate a VM without operating in a vApp but we strongly recommend you create a vApp as part of your deployment. Refer to the Creating vApps in VDC here for more information.
Navigate to Compute > Virtual Machines. Select New VM to get started.
You can utilise some of our built-in template images, or choose and define your own. For example, an Alma 8-based VM from the list of available templates called “db-01”:
Or if you have your own ISO, select Type: New and define a Boot Image (refer to “Uploading Media to your VDC” for this process)
