How do I log into WHM

Prev Next

Logging in to WHM is a simple process that can be done through two methods. Either through a direct URL or through the Command Line Interface (CLI)

URL Access:

  1. To log in to WHM, perform the following steps:
    1. Enter either your IP address or domain and the 2087 port into the URL bar of your browser
      1. e.g - https://192.168.10.1:2087 or https://example.com:2087
  2. Enter your root credentials

CLI Access:

To log in to WHM through CLI, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to your server using the root credentials through SSH.
  2. Whilst logged in as root, run the command whmlogin

This will generate a one-time link that, when clicked/copied into the URL bar of a browser, will automatically log you in as root

2-Factor Authentication (2FA) Access:

Some systems will be configured to require 2FA in order to log in. This will require entering the code issued within your 2FA smartphone app. This is not configured by default, and will not be required for the majority of users.
