If you need to manage your files within your cPanel account for website content, third-party backups or other - navigating to the ‘File Manager’ within cPanel is where this can be done.

2. Under the "Files" section, select "File Manager":
From here, you can choose a scenario out of the three below to suit what action you’re needing to take:
Navigate to the directory you wish to create the file under and then click ‘File’ at the top left:
2. This will take you to the following screen where you can enter a filename along with an extension and press "Create New File" and the file will be created successfully:
To edit a file, browse to the file you wish modify and click ‘Edit’ at the top; It will present a text-based editor provided the file is supported for it
To delete a file, select the file line, and then click on ‘Delete’ at the top.
A pop-up prompt will display asking if you’d like to move it to the Trash, or permanently delete it. Do note that simply moving it to the Trash (whilst making it retrievable) will continually consume Disk Space if not maintained.
