Viewing website statistics in cPanel using AWStats

AwStats is a useful tool to access via your cPanel instance for information about website usage and visitors. It is included as apart of every base installation. It should be noted that by default, AwStats updates once every 24 hours.

An example of the AwStats Dashboard is shown below:

Some of the statistics provided by AwStats are as follows. For a more information about specific items below please see the AwStats Glossary available through cPanel documentation.

  • Top 25 pages

  • Duration of visits

  • Visitors per month

  • Country of origin

  • Files types

  • Pages-url requests (top 25)

  • User operating systems and browsers(top 10)

  • Connect to site from

  • Search key phrases (top 10)

  • Search Keywords (top 25)

    Accessing AwStats

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  1. In the Metrics section, click Awstats:


  2. Click the ‘View’ icon next to the domain name to open up the AwStats Statistic dashboard:
