Incorrect Disk Used information in cPanel

Prev Next

Introduction

cPanel monitors the disk space usage of your entire account, encompassing email accounts, databases, and other applications. It's important to note that the displayed figures for disk space usage are cached and may not reflect real-time readings. The cache is refreshed approximately every 4 hours.

Scenario

For instance, the current Disk usage of the cPanel account is 0 MB, as this was a fresh install. This is viewed in WHM >> Account Information >> List Accounts.

In this example, you decide to add some files, such as WordPress. This can be accessed via cPanel >> Files >> File Manager.

You can also see that when you head back over to cPanel and refresh the browser, under statistics the usage has been adjusted.

However, in WHM if you refresh the browser the disk usage doesn't change.

Solution

In WHM >> Server Configuration >> Terminal

Run the command below:

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/fixquotas

Output should be similar to the below:

Back in WHM >> Account Information >> List Accounts. You can see that Disk usage is now correct.
