How to repair a MySQL database in cPanel

Prev Next

On occasional instances, one or more MySQL databases may require repair after they've self-crashed or there's been an underlying issue with coding. There are built-in repair utilities to cPanel and MySQL in general that can help rectify these problems.

1. Start by logging into your cPanel account; If you're unsure of the URL, you can try https://mydomainname.com.au:2083 or pass through from WHM directly:

2. In the 'Databases' tab, select  'MySQL Databases':

3. Under the 'Modify Databases' area, select the database to be repaired in the drop-down list and press 'Repair Database':

cPanel / MySQL will then carry out the repair and advise on completion.
