Every HPE dedicated server is provisioned by default with a storage IP address on it's second port.
This second port is also known as the storage port, provisioning port or backup port. In this guide we'll refer to it as the storage port.
To utilize the storage port, you'll need to find your assigned storage IP address and assign it to your storage port inside your server's operating system. This guide covers how to find the storage IP address only. There are supporting guides showing how to configure the network interface, and also how to create relevant static routes to the storage systems.
Requirements
- A HPE Dedicated Server ( Blaze or Enterprise Server ).
- Access to the MySAU customer portal and permissions to view products and services.
Steps
Log into your MySAU customer portal.
First, navigate to https://www.mysau.com.au/login and login using your credentials.
If you have issues logging in here, try using the password reset option.
If that fails, feel free to give us a call.
Navigate to the services page of the dedicated server
The quickest way to do this is to select it from the drop down menu, as per the below screenshot:
Find the storage IP address
Click the 'System' option.
Now scroll down to the bottom of the page, and you'll find the 'Network' section.
Under the 'Additional IP Addresses section, you'll see your storage IP address.
It will always begin with "100.64".
In the below example you can see our storage IP address is 100.64.24.78.
