# Will changing my cPanel password affect other passwords such as my email?

When a password change is completed for a cPanel account, the following other passwords are also affected:

- phpMyAdmin for the respective cPanel account
- Primary FTP Account for the respective cPanel account
- SSH / Terminal access (if enabled) for the respective cPanel account

Passwords that are **NOT** affected by a cPanel account password change:

- Individual Email Accounts
- Secondary or Custom FTP accounts for the respective cPanel account
- Third-party utilities such as LiteSpeed, WP-Toolkit, Imunify360, Spam Filtering or similar
- Websites (WordPress, Joomla etc.)
