These plans manage the scope, schedule, retention period and application awareness of your backup tasks, as well as a variety of other more advanced options. > **NOTE: At least ONE** Protection Plan must be assigned to a registered workload for backups to operate. --- We’ve created this collection of plan templates to streamline the Acronis setup process. However, none of these templates are set in stone! These Protection Plans exist as JSON files, and vary by retention period and use case. The plans are separated into two categories: 1. **Standard Backups -** **cPanel** - As the name implies, these are to be used for any **Linux servers** running **cPanel**.
