# Installing VMRC (VMWare Remote Console)

Some clients may wish to access their VDC Virtual Machines via the Remote Console rather than the Web Console. This guide provides a link to download VMRC to assist you with using the remote console

You will find that when you click **LAUNCH REMOTE CONSOLE**, as highlighted below, nothing happens:![](https://cdn.document360.io/d809f158-d4f4-47ff-83d4-18d9c9f7a04d/Images/Documentation/image(61).png)

This can be remedied by downloading VMRC from the following link: [**https://sw-dl.servercontrol.com.au/s_uploads/VMware-VMRC-13.0.0.0.24645870.zip**](https://sw-dl.servercontrol.com.au/s_uploads/VMware-VMRC-13.0.0.0.24645870.zip)

Once you have downloaded the file, run the install shield by double clicking on it and proceed through the installation with the options shown below.

## Install VMRC (VMWare Remote Console):

### VMRC post-install usage:

Now that we have successfully installed VMRC, we can use this on our Virtual Data Center.
