# How to restore a domain in cPanel using Acronis Backup

This guide relates to restorations within an individual cPanel account or domain using the Acronis Backup plugin.

1. To begin, visit the cPanel ‘**Tools**’ page for your relevant site or domain, where you will find ‘**Acronis Backup**’ highlighted as per below. Click on “**Acronis Backup**”:![](https://cdn.document360.io/d809f158-d4f4-47ff-83d4-18d9c9f7a04d/Images/Documentation/image-F29TXJRO.png)

4. Once the domains section is loaded you can select whichever domain you would like to either “**Recover**” or “**Download**”. Once you have selected your domain click “**Recover**”: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/d809f158-d4f4-47ff-83d4-18d9c9f7a04d/Images/Documentation/image-YHBG7Z9K.png)

1. After you select Recover, a dialogue box will appear with additional options. This is providing you with an option to exclude any subdomain or add-on domains that may be attached to the domain you are restoring.
