# How to create a FTP account in cPanel

By default, accessing FTP for a particular cPanel account can be done by utilising the default **cpanel-username@domain-name.com.au** and its relevant **password** via **Port 21** format. However, if you would like to create additional accounts to share with a developer, co-workers, or other this can be done as follows.

1. To start, log in to your cPanel account with your credentials

2. In the **' Files '** area on the main page, select **' FTP Accounts '**

3. Fill out the corresponding information on the page to create your account. This will include the **Login** username, **password**, the specific directory (if not the primary user account directory), and a **quota**. Click ' Create FTP Account ', and the account will be created, and ready to use.
