# How do I navigate File Manager in cPanel

1. Log in to cPanel.

You will be presented with the following screen, which you can navigate similarly to most file systems. Double click on folders to access them, and the action buttons, such as **New Folder** and others are in the top bar:

## **Hidden Files**

The file explorer, by default, hides hidden files. They usually are formatted like **.htaccess**. These are sometimes needed for WordPress and other CMS configurations.

1. From the pop-up, **tick** the box next to ‘**Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)**’.
