Article summary

Before you start creating NAT and Firewall policies, you'll want to ensure that your public IP addresses are added to an 'IP Pool'.

This is a range of IP addresses that can be used for other services such as NAT, IPsec, SSLVPN, Firewall Policies, etc etc.

Viewing IP Pools

After logging into your VDOM, navigate to

  1. Policy & Objects
  2. IP Pools
  3. If you requested the firewall in NAT mode you should see your IP pool already created by Servers Australia here.

In the above screenshot, you can see that this VDOM has the usable IP addresses 27.50.123.0-27.50.123.5.

Adding IP Pools

If you need to add another pool (for example, after purchasing an additional IP range), simply click the "+Create New" button.

Once the 'New Dynamic Ip Pool' page loads, simply fill out the below:

  1. Name the IP pool. We recommend you give it a useful name to assist our support team if you ever need assistance. Please use the VDOM name (top right) as part of the IP pool name, like in the example. This will help us identify your IP pools easily. Add a comment if you'd like (not required).
  2. Add the range of IP addresses provided by Servers Australia to the External IP Range Section.
  3. Click OK.
