Delete DNS records from WHM and cPanel

You have just entered a new "A" record for your domain - the change has gone through and you realise you made a mistake and you need to delete the record. In both WHM and cPanel this task is very simple.

WHM

1) Log into your WHM account
2) In the search box type in: DNS
3) Select "DNS Zone Manager"
4) Find the domain you wish to make changes to and select "Manage"

5) Find the entry you want to delete

For example - the test record needs to be deleted.6) Press the "Delete" button on the same line as the record to delete this record and confirm you wish to proceed.7) This will now remove the corresponding DNS record. As shown below our "test.ultimatetest.com.au." record is gone:If you are part of our DNS cluster - you will need to give the DNS servers time to propagate the changes globally.

cPanel

1) Log into your cPanel account and scroll down and click on the "Zone Editor" icon.2) As above select the domain you wish to delete records from.3 ) Click "Delete" on the corresponding record to remove it.4) Confirm you wish to delete this record as shown.5) The record will now be deleted.
