Creating a backup job - Linux:
Once the backup agent is installed, it will show up under the 'Backup Agents' section. Once the Backup Agent is showing up in the interface correctly, you can proceed to create backup jobs for the machine.
To configure backup jobs in Veeam Service Provider console, navigate to the "Backup Jobs" section in the left menu.
1. Select the computer you wish to backup, then click 'Create Job'.

5. Here you will select the Backup mode. We recommend choosing 'Entire Computer' to ensure your backup contains all required files, for example, the boot loader which will be required to boot the server if a full restore is done.
6. Select Veeam Cloud Connect repository as the destination:

6. Select Veeam Cloud Connect repository as the destination:

7. Enter your credentials when requested (These will not have the SAU ID appended to the front as the login does):

Once this is done click on Advanced Settings and make sure that there is an active full backup being created weekly:
Incremental Backup Chains
Please note that veeam cannot remove backups until it has at least 1 full backup chain. As such, if you choose to do an active backup on each saturday, and keep 7 days worth of retention, veeam will create up to 14 backup points before it can remove the original 7, thus ALWAYS ensuring you have a full 7 days of backup points.

9. This is where we will enable Guest OS processing and some other settings. Further information can be found in the Veeam KB, HERE.

11. The final screen you will be taken to is the job summary. Here you can review any settings put in place and once certain the job is configured you can press Finish:

The backup job is now created and should run at the next scheduled time.
