Thanks for purchasing Colocation through Severs Australia! We've compiled a list of things you'll need to know to help you on your way!
You have an installation date, now what?
Once you have an installation date and if you are self-installing, an email will be sent to the registered account holder containing all the required information for your new Colocation.
It should look a little something like this:
Please note: your initial access will be set up by Servers Australia. For access after set-up, please create a ticket in the MySAU portal.
When you arrive at the Data Centre, you may be greeted with a boom gate. Don’t worry, just advise that you are there on behalf of Servers Australia and they will let you in. This is the same again at the front door if it’s locked.
Once you’ve made it inside, you’ll be required to quote your access ticket number that has been provided to you. You will also need your 6-digit security PIN (which can be found in the ECP App for full-time access customers) when visiting an Equinix facility. (See the section around Access for more information).
Note: If you have a full-time access pass, you do not need to create an access ticket, however, you will still need to quote your unique 6-digit security pin.
How to find your Rack
The location of your rack can be found in your MySAU account.
Log into the portal
Press on Services
Locate the Colocation Service you need to install.
Press on Allocation and this will show your Rack Space, Data Centre, Rack number, Area and Position.
Once you have this information, the security desk at the Data Centre will be happy to help you find your allocation.
Installing
For your Colocation, you will need to provide both power and network cables. The network switches are located at the top of each rack, so please double-check your allocation to ensure your network cable is long enough. The following lengths are recommended based on your allocation placement. Please note that these lengths are only general advice and may change from rack to rack, so it’s always a good idea to carry spare cables with varying lengths when installing your Colocation.
RU 1-14 – 3 metre cable
RU 15-30 – 2 metre cable
RU 31-41 – 1 metre cable
The power cables you need are IEC to IEC; these are a C13 to C14 style plug and not a standard wall outlet. Sample image below:
These cables can be obtained from www.4cabling.com.au

Relevant contact information for delivery
Servers Australia will hold all shipments for a maximum of 5 business days. After this time, your package may be returned to the original sender.
Hardware Movement
Equipment larger than what can be carried under one arm will be required to be brought in through the loading dock area of all facilities. This is to prevent equipment from damaging any turnstiles or entry points which being carried through.
Please ensure 24 hours’ notice is provided to Servers Australia before equipment larger than what can be hand-carried is brought on-site. This will ensure we notify the correct channels if loading dock access is required.
